Checked the connection status after firmware update and noticed the BT WiFi Is activated, which I previously opted out. Went on MyBT and couldn’t find the option to opt out anymore. The opt in/out setting used to be under Broadband extra or something but doesn’t seem to exist now.
does anyone have any clues how to opt out online?

I believe I have found it under My BT / Your Products / BT WiFi
That’s what I got when I previously opted out of BT WiFi as well. Now when I go to check under my products/broadband, all I have are the Broadband Security extras and nothing to do with opting in/out of BT WiFi.
Anyway, I’ve just checked the connection status on the hub and noticed it is now switched off! Probably just a slow “pickup” from the system after the weekend’s firmware update...
Thank you for posting. The default setting on the Hub is to have BT WiFi as opted in. Whenever there is a firmware update or a factory reset done on the Hub. The hub will show that BT Wifi is active and opted in. This will normally change back to opted out in a few days.
