Firefox and Parental Controls

Go to solution

A couple of hours ago my HH went down several times but is now OK.  However, when it came back on line Parental Controls was found to be activated.  Having deleted Parental Controls I can get to my sites using Opera but Chrome and Firefox are still telling me that PC is active and I am unable to get to ebay.co.uk and an https site although ebay.com and google.co.uk are OK on Chrome and Firefox.

Any ideas please.

Restart the home hub and your computer, that should clear any stale DNS entries.

I presume you mean network parental controls and not the ones that get installed on the computer.

That's strange if it works OK on Opera as they are network based so should stop them regardless of browser. Have you tried clearing the cookies and Internet history on the other browsers.

Thanks Keith and gg for quick replies.

clear cookies, dns, restarted HH and PC but not the history all all appears OK now.

So which was causing the problem I have no idea.  I don't have the time to go through your suggestions separately.

Thanks guys
