How can I tell whether my BT Cloud is operational?

I installed BT Cloud some months ago on my Windows 10 Laptop.  I chose some folders to be backed up and all seemed fine.  Now I can't seem to get at BT Cloud or check that it's still backing things up as I want.  Is there a simple way of doing that?

Is there not a small purple Cloud-shaped Icon in your TaskBar ?  If there is, clicking it should open a small window - you can take it from there ...

I don't have any BT cloud icon on my taskbar.  However, I have found that it is listed in the Windows 10 alphabetic  list of functions reached from the Windows icon top left, and when I click it I can see recent BT Cloud activity.
