Mcafee

I had McAfee on my laptop and mobile phone but then my phone broke and I couldnt log on. I brought a new phone and because I cant cancel it on my old phone I cant have it on my new phone as it says I have to remove off of that phone first as I am at my limit on 2 devices. How can I get BT to remove it from my old phone that doesn't work so that I can have it on my new phone

Re: Mcafee

Have a look at this link and in particular page 15. It might help.

Re: Mcafee

Hi, thank you but I cant log on to the device to reset it. I need McAfee to remove the device I added. When I try to download to my new phone it says I have to remove it from my old phone but it is broken. Thanks

Re: Mcafee

Log onto your MyBT on another device, it doesn't need to be your old phone, then follow page 15

Re: Mcafee

Don't put McAfee on your phone it's just bloatware. On your laptop use Windows Defender it's part of Windows, lightweight, and reliable.

Re: Mcafee

Did you read the link I posted?

Select the device you want to manage ie your old phone, and as far as I am aware you should get an option to deselect it.

There are plenty of reviews online. For what it's worth, I've used Lookout for years without issues.
