Today I noticed that Net Protect Plus has been updated, on the new front screen it says I can protect tablets and mobiles.
I took the option of inserting my mobile number and then clicked "Send Text",
I then received instructions on my mobile on what to do next.
I followed the instructions and looked at the Cookie Consent, which insisits I set the "Opt Out" on over 120 sites.
which seems impossible to work through, as the same error message keeps popping up.
so I cannot download the App to my mobile,
Has anyone had success with this?
Where did you see this update, as its not mentioned on the main BT Page?
You could be the victim of a scam to get your mobile number, and download a trojan program to spy on your phone.
If you received an e-mail about it, then it probably was a scam, and you have compromised the security of your phone.
I cannot see any reason to opt out of 200 sites unless its to stop the trojan program from being detected.
I noticed it, because I had a pop up on screen, and now when I click on the McAfee shield I get
so I don't think it is a scam.
This is how Mcafee Live Safe has looked for about two years.
I have the same screens appearing. I find them suspicious as the text, on the one that opens if I click on 'Protect More +', headed "All Access-Internet Security" and "Protect your digital life" do not line up and are in slightly different text/resolution. Surely someon at McAfee or BT must know whether they are genuine and what they are for.
