I have tried and been unsuccessful in downloading the Net Protect Plus - this has been ongoing since May and got absolutely no where with the helpdesk - no call backs, they remote accessed on 3 occasion's and still not fixed After reading some comments on here, I am best just giving up on it. Still waiting for the McAfee "expert" to call...
My advice and that of others on the forum would be to uninstall BTNetprotect. It can cause problems on some computers and is a resource hog. Do a search of the forum to see the problems. There are far better free antivirus programs available such as Avast Free and AVG Free.
Make sure you remove all the stuff that NetProtect will have dumped on your computer by using the McAfee Removal Tool.
If you're using Windows 8, you can do the job simply by turning on Windows Defender once McAfee is out of the way. But don't run more than one antivirus at the same time.
