I have installed Norton password manager on my PC and iPhone but every time I move between my laptop and phone and vice versa, I am forced to sign in to my BT account.
This would be fine, but BT do not allow the same password twice, and because Norton Password Manager is inoperable at this point, I would need to remember or write down this password. Obviously this defeats the object of using BT and Norton for increased security intended by their products.
I contacted BT for help and was asked on several occasions whether “I could spare 2 minutes of my time” when the process took about an hour. I was told to open a new account with an email that did not belong to me, and that still did not work. I should apparently remember this new email address on top of my passwords. In the end I opened a complaint which was not dealt with and the complaint was closed before anyone contacted me. I received an email asking me if I wanted to close the complaint, which I did not, so did not contact them, then it was closed! Terrible service! I called to complain that my complaint was closed and was told that no one had tried to contact me about my original complaint and that my best option was to ask for help here. Zero customer care!
So now I am here, airing BT and Norton’s dirty laundry in public, with little faith in BT to help me with my complaint. I now have reams of complex Norton generated login passwords and a system that I can not access because it requires me to remember 2 passwords, one of which I need to change every time I want to log in because of the stringent password rules that mean I can not remember them, making the whole system unworkable.
Do any of the community have any advice on a resolution please, as BT tech support are firing blanks?
Also, how do you make a complaint with BT? I am not feeling like I want to keep paying them my money!
Thanks
