Only 51GB backed up but BT Cloud reports 500GB used

I added up the selected folders, one subfolder at a time and the total is 51GB.

 

BUT BT Cloud is urging me to buy more storgae because I already used my allocated 500GB. The image below clearly shows the 51GB.

@fatih63 sorry about the delay getting back to you. Do you have any files in the ''Deleted Items'' folder as these count towards your total storage allowance?

That was the first place I looked!

 

Very little there but I purged it any way. Is it possible that it is keeping HIDDEN historical deleted items?

 

I took adavntage of the free Windows 10 upgrade and later renamed my PC. I deleted the old W7 backup and made sure deleted items are purged.

Hi @fatih63,

 

Have you tried clicking your name at the top right of the BT Cloud website, then clicking 'Settings'? This brings up a storage monitor which BT have told me is a 'live' count of how much storage you're using. I've noticed that some people here on the forums seem to see higher usage when looking at the MyBT page -  I'm guessing this is something like deletions not updating the MyBT number staight away?

It is still showing incorrect usage under Settings. I guess they have a bug on the software. I am going to completely uninstall and remove everything from the vault and reinstalled /sync overnight.

 

Very disappointing from BT
