Parent controls "Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later."

Hi.

 

We have never used this as we don't have any children at the house, but it has seemed to have turned on, on its own.

 

When i go to turn it off it says: Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later. under where the controls should be. 

 

We are having sites blocked which are never usually blocked and we cannot get access when trying to unblock it. It says this: 

You are not authorised to manage this Parental Controls service, please contact the account holder.

 

Mother has called BT support and they couldnt walk her through a fix because she doesnt understand how to do this stuff.

 

I am 100% certain that it is a problem on BT's side as it is the website though.

 

I also spoke on live chat and they couldnt find a fix.

 

Any help would be great, thanks.

Hi @nickwardes,

 

To deactivate the Parental Controls the BT Account Holder need to long into their primary BT ID. 

 

You can find out how to do so, by take a look at - BT Parental Controls - 'How to...' guide

Thanks for the reply @PaddyB, This has been done but like i said it says, "Sorry, something went wrong. please try again later"

Hi,

 

Today we had another call from a chap trying to make us troubleshoot again. As you have seen on the screenshot, there is nothing that we can actually do with the settings, i have been through all the troubleshooting with BT live chat and we are still at where we are now. It's a problem with the website and they don't seem to understand that there is nothing we can do with it and that they have to fix it themself.

 

The only progress we feel we have made is when you gave us a ring (thanks for calling by the way @PaddyB), The other people who keep calling seem to be taking us around in circles.

 

I was wondering if you could pass on to them that we have been through all the troubleshooting and that we can't actually do anything with the settings. It's getting fustrating for us to have these calls from them when they don't seem to have a clue what they are talking about or what the actual problem is.
