We have put together a short survey to capture your feedback in terms of what BT can do when you experience home Wi-Fi issues. We would appreciate it if you could take a couple of minutes to complete a short survey. Read more from here, Fix my home Wi-Fi
I have used parental controls to block access to Youtube. It works fine EXCEPT that on one of our tablets it is possible to get Youtube ! All other devices (laptop, PC, smartphones, other tablets) block Youtube. I have checked that the rogue tablet is connected to the internet via the BT hub and our home network and there is no 4G connection. Can anyone suggest what is happening here ? Children have, of course, discovered the loophole and I am having to hide the tablet in question ! Thanks

Are you sure its not connecting to BT Wifi/FON, if the BT Fi app has been installed?
I have checked that in the tablet settings and it shows it is connected to the BT Home Hub. BT Fon is showing in Settings as available but not connected. I have just found another older tablet and that too is connecting to Youtube. Thanks for replying.
Do you have BT Protect enabled on your account, as the only thing I can thing of is that the tablets are using Google DNS and not BT DNS.
If BT Protect is enabled, then this would be blocked, as it stops other DNS severs being used. So if BT Protect is not enabled, then it would be a good idea to enable it.
Just checked and yes Youtube is blocked on PC, laptop and smartphones
Then you may find that the tablets are accesing via a different domain.
Are you blocking googlevideo.com as well as youtube.com and youtube.co.uk ?
That's worked ! Thank you for your perseverance - it is much appreciated. Still don't know why it was only the tablets affected, but very pleased not to have to hide the tablets any more. Thanks again
Tablets rely on internal apps, which do not access youtube the same way as PCs, so you have to block all domain combinations.
