Hi, I've been making use of parental controls for a while but I cannot fathom out how to block access from certain apps. Our daughter and her friends, 11 to 12 year olds have the ability (if they tried) to use Facebook apps etc from their phones/tablets even though I have listed Facebook.com to be blocked. But that only seems to work for accessing through a browser, and does nothing to restrict the app.
Children don't turn up with laptops, they use apps.
So how do I make sure, certain apps like Facebook cannot access the internet through our Wi-Fi.
You can't use BT Parental Controls to specifically block apps, just websites. Blocking some websites will make the corrosponding App break, but this isn't the case with facebook (a quick google suggests that facebook make their app very difficult to block, as there are lots of IT threads related to people trying in vain to do this).
