Re: BT Wifi Add-On won't disable

Yes, me too - and I DID NOT opt in. Seems a BT ploy to use the service that I've paid for.

Re: BT Wifi Add-On won't disable

If you read your T&Cs, you do not opt in, you have to opt out as you will be automatically opted in. Of course by opting out it means that you will be unable to make use of the hotspots yourself whilst out and about.

Re: BT Wifi Add-On won't disable

I agree. Its very cheeky of them.

It is now disabled.

I contacted the forum moderators, who raised an order (at no cost) to disable the wifi on my router, about 10 days later the job was done.

No more BT-Fon broadcasting on my router!!

Lee.

But the T&Cs don't arrive until AFTER you have an account Wise Sage(!) In this day and age it is all about opting IN not out.

And I can't opt out because I don't have Yahoo email. Sort that one out please.

Yes thanks for nothing - there is no opt-out drop-down.

I have notified the moderators, they will hopefully be able to disable BTWifi for you.

OK thanks for that, but I suspect the answer is to turn off the hub wireless and use an access point.

Re: BT Wifi Add-On won't disable

Good morning

Well............ that didn't work, no such link.

But worry not, I have turned off the wireless and just use the hub6 as a modem.

Works for me, no BT snooping or interference.
