I have this same problem on a home hub 6

 

the Wi-fi with fin was transmitting for a while but then vanished and not just shows not active

 

i can’t seem to login in to check my opt in status either with my outlook address which is my BT ID address

A factory reset of the home hub should restore the service.

do I then need to set everything back up in terms of changes I have made to the settings?

Hi Keith

 

I’ve tried this tonight and re-setup my hub afterwards, I can no longer see the option for Bt Wi-fi at all but in the technical log it still says not active

 

I can’t  log in to the bt Wi-fi page either using my bt account login

This is what you should see on MyBT if you are opted in. These instructions are for people who want to opt out, however if it shows that you are opted in, then opt out, wait 24 hours, then opt in again, and the activation should be triggered.

It usually works, as it forces an update, and should eventually show in the event log.

 

I hope my step by step instructions were helpful, as I only added them to my website today, in response to another forum member who wanted to opt out.

When I log into my bit bt Wi-fi still says active and I don’t have an opt out or opt in option now so I’ll wait and check again over the next couple of days

 

might be coincidence but I noticed after I opted out the home hub got a firmware update too

Been checking daily since I opted out of btWi-fi but it still says active in MyBT with a green tick but there is no opt out or opt in when you go into manage bt Wi-fi so I’m at a bit of a loss now
