Sorry there doesn’t seem to be a Switch to Norton option on the BT virus tile. I have spent four hours today trying to do something to no avail. When I get to the uninstall McAfee it just hangs and I can’t close it so have to restart laptop. Tried online chat with BT but the guy kept sending me back to where I started by logging in again and starting afresh . I am not very computer literate but had no problems downloading McAfee when I got a new laptop.
When I thought I had succeeded I got this - message ‘instruction at OxOOOO7FFA1099699D referenced memory at OxOOOO2278AB31E1C. The memory could not be written. Click on OK to terminate the problem.’ This is just gobbledegook to me.
I have deleted downloads relevant to Norton but am scared to try installing again.
It seems that lots of people are having issues with Norton switch and has been on going for a few weeks. What are we supposed to do? I don’t want to have to go to a computer shop for help with a problem not caused by me.
