Why can't I download BT Cloud?

Go to solution

I've bought a new laptop and need to download BT cloud onto it.

Problem is there is no download link anywhere.

I've looked in MY cloud and other obvious places but there is no download link anywhere.

Is it because i'm using Windows 8. Does BT not support Windows 8?

EDIT: just found a download link on an earlier thread.

But before I install can someone confirm that BT Cloud is fully compatible with windows 8?

I have not see anywhere that BT Cloud does not work on Windows 8 therefore it would suggest that it should work OK with it.

BT Cloud works as well on Windows 8 as it does on any other operating system.

There is a download if you login to MyBT and follow the pink 'My BT Cloud' button.

For some reason, this does not work on IE at the moment.  Works on Chrome and Firefox.

Yep. The download link is there in Chrome.

Strange how things have changed.

It used to be all websites worked on IE but not Chrome. Now it's the other way round

Looking at the source HTML for the page, they serve different HTML to different browsers, with the download section missing from what they serve to IE. So it's not IE's fault (I never thought I'd say that!).

Just making a headache for themselves differentiating.

Whoops, the page is gone from Chrome again for now:
"Due to a system error we can't display your product information. We are working to fix this for you as quickly as possible."
