Why does the BT app email search not work on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8?

I have tried reloading the app and restarting the pad but nothing will make the search function operate. I can type in the search bar but it will not search.

Uninstall it and install a proper mail app such as Blue Mail or Aqua mail.

Thanks - but the reason I want the BT app is it usually searches the emails better than Blue Mail.
