Re: BT Pro Box Frame Rate Match Bug - Always 60hz when frame rate matching is on.

Just tested it using firmware 4.2.124 (224d71)/0.9.218 - still has all the same issues. Is this going to get fixed?

I believe it was fixed a while ago. However, to trigger the fix you have to change resolution (e.g. to 1080p) and back again once for the fix to be applied. Once you've done that the bug doesn't come back again, I understand.

@expectingtofly Sorry to say this doesn't work. Doesn't change the behaviour. When you go from playing a movie on Prime Video at 24FPS, going back to regular tv, the frame rate doors not correct itself.

@expectingtofly  I’ve tried your fix as many different ways as I can think of, and it just doesn’t work. Every time I bring the box out of standby it’s in 60hz.

Re: BT Pro Box Frame Rate Match Bug - Always 60hz when frame rate matching is on.

While mine was at 50Hz I switched 'Match Frame Rate' to off and it has stayed at 50Hz since.

I know that some apps will have wrong frame rate but I don't use theBox Pro for much other than TNT Sport as it is not much more than a token gesture for tv subscribers.

It has had issues since day one - and when did we see any new channels added to the IPTV package?

@ozsat Yes, I think that turning ‘Match Frame Rate’ to off is the way to go.

I forced a software download to our box earlier today and I couldn’t see what had changed, but it appears to me that the frame rate match bug has been fixed.

That didn’t last long! When I took our box out of standby this morning, the bug was back!  So I’m going to turn match frame rate to off again.

@Brucemeister5 I'd not had a chance to test it yet. I normally found watching a film on 24FPS via Amazon and returning to TV was enough to produce the issue. I'll still check, but I won't be getting my hopes up.

I’ll need to test this over the Bank Holiday weekend, either my eyesight is getting worse with old age or I can’t see any issue with this setting on or off!

What should I be looking for?

Re: BT Pro Box Frame Rate Match Bug - Always 60hz when frame rate matching is on.

The issue is something like: The Box Pro switches the tv output to 60Hz for the regular tv output for the EPG channels - even though every one is 50Hz.

The point it changes is the hard thing to spot - often seemes to reset to 60Hz just powering it up from standby.

Get the box into 50Hz and then disable it and it stays at 50Hz.

Not a big loss as Netflix seems to have frame disabled anyway on the Box Pro.
