BT TV Box Pro factory reset now won't pair with BT remote

Hi all,

My parents have just moved, and wanted to change their connection from aerial to Internet for better reception.

We did a factory reset, now the "Start Set Up" screen will not respond to the remote.

No amount of unplugging/replugging the power cable, or holding Home+9 or Home+7 works. The lights flash 3 times on the remote when we do this, but still the remote seems to be unpaired from the BT TV Box Pro and is stuck on the Start Set Up page.

Any idea how to pair them together again?!

You don’t need to use the remote on the Start Up screen,  Start again with the reset procedure and wait when the Start Up screen appears. It takes a few mins to complete, don’t unplug anything or touch the remote. 

And make sure the aerial is disconnected before starting the reset. It will then default to IP Mode

Quite likely a power reset of the box will do it, if not taking the batteries out the remote for 15 / 20 seconds then redoing the reset and repair sequence does the job
