So with Freeview over broadband eventually here will BT update their app so they Freeview will also be available they way for Apple TV etc?

Unfortunately not @l0586 - the distribution agreement with the Freeview channel providers only allows us to distribute to BT TV boxes. We're not allowed to provide the channels to BT TV apps.
