Box pro.Aerial connection

I have a boxpro.I retuned my aerial  tv channels & they all disappeared  & i get zero response from the aerial connection on  the  boxpro, retuned a few times & nothing, just get zero.I've fitted a new co-ax  plug didn't make any difference.I don't think that it's my aerial because i have a seperate aerial connection to my TV & that works ok,so i think it is probably the aerial in on the box pro, anyone any ideas.

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

From my memory the BT box on start up asks you to choose between aerial and wifi for the channels list.

It might be set up for the latter

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

Hi @Cliff  why did you opt to retune  , were you having issues before the retune attempt   if so what were they?

You mention the TV having a separate aerial connection , how is the aerial feed split ?

(@Kodikid were the Box Pro to have inadvertantly to have  set up in IP mode then the Retune option would not I believe be available in the Settings so the fact thay Cliff is able to attempt a Retune indicates the box is currently in Aerial mode albeit with no channels.)

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

Yes ,i was having problems.I would get flickering & actual loss of picture, this is why i opted to retune.
The aerial feed set up is.Cable from the wall socket to a splitter, cable from pro box to the splitter & cable from the tv to the splitter.I don't get any problems from the TV ,tuner. It is probably 3 months back when i started getting issues with the probox connection, then it just stopped completely.

The splitter is a small box ,about 4" x 2" x 2".

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

Hello Cliff,

I believe that,if working correctly, you don't need to use the Splitter. Can you try plugging the Aerial Cable directly into the  Pro Box "Aerial In" then,if you have an HDMI Cable connect that  from "Aerial Out" to TV.In Picture and Sound of Pro Box select "Antenna Out" .Scan for Channels with Pro Box a if now OK TV should also display same Channels.

      Just an idea.

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

Try using the cable the TV is connected to for the pro box, and vice versa. If the pro box is now fine and the TV is having issues it's probably a fault with the splitter.

Re: Box pro.Aerial connection

Sorry for taking so long to reply.Connecting the tv cable to the probox didn't make any difference, connecting the probox cable to the tv worked ok on the tv,i think that probably points to an issue with the aerial in on the probox,i'll get onto BT & see what they say. Thanks  for your posts.
