I have to restart my router to watch channels over BB

Has anyone else experienced this? My broadband is fine and the BT TV box is connected directly to it (not via power line adapters). But whenever I want to watch, say Sky or BT Sports, I just get a black screen. Restarting the TV box does not fix it, only restarting my router does

Nobody? Finally managed to get through to tech support last night, only took 3 hours, and there are sending me a new box, hopefully this resolves it….as I will lose all my recording it had better
