I notice changes to EE TV wrt Netflix listed products in the BT tariffguide and also in an EE pricing guide that became effective today (30th July).
Are there changes occurring to existing EETV packages that had/do include Netflix Basic ?
Are there changes to the Netflix pack included with new EETV packages taken out going forward ?
The Basic plan is no-longer offered by Netflix, so we cannot include it with new EE TV subscriptions.
New customers to EE TV on the Entertainment or Big Entertainment packages will now be offered "Netflix Standard with Adverts" - this is shown on bt.com and ee.co.uk now, along with all the package upgrade options.
EE TV customers with Netflix Basic will remain as they are and won't be forced to change package until their next contract renewal (or late 2026, for those who choose to remain out of contract).
Note: the Humax boxes are not capable of supporting Netflix Standard with Adverts - attempts to log in to the Netflix app on a Humax box with an ad-supported subscription will be rejected (some other older platforms are also affected).
Thanks for clarifying DarrenDev - one other scenario wrt to flexing from one package to another within the minimum period.
If an existing customer elects to flex what occurs
eg Entertainmernt to Big Entertainment (or vice versa) where they currently have Netflix basic , do they retain that or move to standard with ads when flex occurs.
