@c64z86 You could have the best of both worlds by keeping the Youview box in internet mode and have a second ordinary Freeview PVR to record programmes from those pesky commercial broadcasters.
I actually do it the other way and use a Chromecast dongle for online services not available on my Youview box as well as using a second Freeview PVR. Done that for years to limit recording clashes but those are occurring less and less as I stream more and more.
