Yes I know nothing discussed or confirmed for BT.
Good to see they're launching on Roku from day 1 👌
I wish they'd say one way or the other if the "free for sky cinema customers" will apply to only full sky customers or if it will include people who get sky cinema through now or bt.
If you get Sky Cinema through BT it is provided by NOW and that will not include Paramount +
Paramount+ is part of Sky Cinema for Sky account customers, so Sky HD, Sky Q & Sky Glass.
I'm not sure what BT are going to offer if anything concerning P+ but it will be available on most platforms Roku, Amazon, Apple, Virgin etc at £6.99 as a standard app.
This is my understanding.
Your understanding is correct in part, Paramount+ is included for Sky Cinema subscribers directly with Sky on Sky Q and Glass. Sky HD doesn't support apps.
It isn't available to Sky Cinema subscribers via NOW, although the app will be included on NOW devices (which are no longer sold, but were made by Roku). That said, apparently since some of the movies available on Paramount+ in the US are already a part of Sky Cinema, those movies will remain on Sky Cinema as part of its library, so those will at least be accessible to NOW Cinema subscribers.
Personally I am looking forward to watching Halo and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, but only because I have Sky Q and kept my Sky Cinema subscription because I knew this was coming. I certainly wouldn't pay an extra £6.99 a month or £69.90 for it, maybe a month or two to binge watch at most.
No idea if BT will make this app available, it certainly isn't mentioned as a platform at launch, but plenty of other ways to watch it if needed.
My source: Cordbusters
Also good to know that it will also be on the Amazon Firesticks.
Hopefully some content will be in HD.
Shame it will not be free for Sky Cinema customers with the Now service.
I've been reading several articles about what will be available and what's coming and there is absolutely nothing there that screams "must watch".
I don't subscribe to Sky Cinema anyway I just don't watch enough movies to justify the expense so I either rent or wait until they turn up elsewhere, they usually do.
£6.99 a month is a bit rich, it needs to be more like £3.99.
I don't mind Star Trek and I do fancy 'Strange New Worlds' so I'll wait until it airs take my 7 day free trial and binge it.
I hope it comes to BT/EE just to beef up the platform availability for customers but it sounds like P+ will not be difficult to access, after all they need as many to sign up as possible!
I will not be getting Paramount + from day one. Will wait a few months to see the reviews and what TV shows and movies are on it first. Then decide if its worth getting.

Ah well, free was a bit much to hope for. The Star Trek's the one show that's really tempting me, so I'll probably just add Paramount to my rotation of temporary apps, get it just once or twice a year for a month
