Re: Poor quality recordings over internet

@Hennypenny18

How do you know the Pro box is on the 5GHz band? Do Pro boxes tell you what band they are on?

If not, then just because it can be on 5GHz doesn’t mean it is, as it may have steered to 2.4GHz because the 5GHz signal where it is isn’t good enough for it.

Thereby putting itself in the path of whatever the Katana is putting out.

I used to have Digisenders, which used the 2.4GHz band in a decidedly non-WiFi-friendly way on one of its settings, though fortunately I could switch frequency within the band and find a compatible setting.

Does the Katana have this option?

For some unfathomable reason, the Pro Box only operates on the 5GHz band

According to the BT Pro box user guide "The TV Box can only connect to the 5GHz Wi-Fi band". I can't find any info on whether you can change the frequency setting for the Katana.

Presumably you can log into the SH2 and see which band that thinks the BT Pro box is connected to?
