Remote control works intermittently

Hi, my remote will work intermittently when selecting the guide or home. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. Rolling the batteries sometimes works but they're new so not that. However, it will still turn the box on and off so must be a remote or box issue?

Reset and re-pair it.

Which box are we talking about, the Pro box or what?

Are you still using a plasma TV?

Has this just started since you set Christmas lights up?
