Re: Skysports UHD channels on my TV today

I mean, making up rumours doesn't really help though.

The delay is leading to some pretty annoying situations though. For example, if I wanted to switch from BT to EE, I would lose my '3 device limit' which we use in my house every weekend.

We have realised that the only solution will be to basically switch to EE but only take a broadband package, and maybe the TNT sports channels, and then just go back to standard NOWTV with ultraboost.

They would stop these rumours by coming out and giving some information (which someone must have…)

Re: Skysports UHD channels on my TV today

Slagging off Sky publicly isnt going to help though, EE are at Sky's mercy, wouldnt be useful for EE to come out and let us all know that Sky are being difficult.

Its annoying, I really hoped it would have been in by mid season (last season), I think with EE TV though you can bin off the Sport Package as and when you choose and subscribe to now separately and then get all Sky Sports with UHD for like £30 if you sign up for 6 months, if you care about TNT Sports though that would be an additional charge either separately or with EE. Generally I dont have an issue with the TV package and Sport pricing at EE. Sky dont offer a comparative package which comes with a proper box, and its the proper box I care about most, having that recording ability. Having UHD Sky Sports there eventually is going to be the complete package for me.

Re: Skysports UHD channels on my TV today

Same here 3 devices is non negotiable in our household.

Come premier league time I would be more unpopular then I am here if I cancelled my ultra boost.

Thank god now always have some sort of deal as I've never  paid full price for ultraboost.

Currently paying £4.

PS

Naylor you could always buy a pro box from Ebay or Cex. Then subscript directly. Literally save hundreds for a superior product

Yeah, this is probably the way if you dont care about recording Sky Sports, for me its so useful, the 2hr watch back from NOW isnt enough. You cant go completely separately because Sky Sports UHD from NOW is gonna be £30 I think if you sign up for 6 months, Discovery Plus Premium is another £30 if you go separately, if you can get that discounted through some sort of other package then thats the way to go.

Re: Skysports UHD channels on my TV today

I currently get UHD Sky Sports through Now directly paying £17.99 for the sports and £4 for ultra boost but I find the streaming delay annoying. But the extra quality makes it worth it.

Thats a very good deal, think I managed to get it all in for around £24 for a while, they offered me £4 for ultraboost when I was cancelling. In fact the deals I had with BT at the time and NOW were so good I was actually running two accounts for NOW, I had my one on the box for multicast streaming at 1080p and a separate one for UHD.

The delay isnt too bad, under 30 seconds still isnt it? EETV is around 10 seconds from memory, I mean, its pretty much only Sky Q customers who are watching as a lowest delay, most people I know with Sky now have Stream, I even have a cousin with Sky Glass, I never thought I'd see that take off.

Re: Skysports UHD channels on my TV today

It's not really a rumour about needing to update the ordering system before they can offer Now / Sky UHD. It's been 'confirmed' as the reason for the delay several times on the EE forum by one of the mods - and as recently as this month. And on this forum too I think, but not for a while.  I know it's almost unbelievable  - but that's the only 'official' information available. So it is what it is. I jumped ship a year ago and now deal direct with NowTV.
