Starts of Monaco F3 and F2 both missed this morning

My recording of the F3 race (on at 6.40am and never available on catch-up) started during the end of the first lap, and the same for the F2 2 hours later (luckily I recorded the filler programs in between, just in case the F3 overran, so I didn't miss this). I changed my box on insistence that nothing could be done until I had, and these niggling problems are still there. The EPG / recording system really doesn't work reliably as advertised, and I lose count of how many programs I've missed (or missed the start of) because of it. If I had my time again I would have invested in a dish (not cheap as I'm in a second-floor flat so the company behind the dishes can't fit them as part of the contract, I'd've had to get a local independent to do it) instead.

Re: Starts of Monaco F3 and F2 both missed this morning

Sorry for the delay in responding - I'd hoped to have a definitive response on this by now, but we're still investigating.

We don't receive late updates to the TV guide from sky for their channels, so if the TV schedule changed, your TV box wouldn't know about it. This usually leads to recordings starting or finishing early though. For yours to have missed the beginning of the race, it suggests the race started early. Do you know if that's the case?

Re: Starts of Monaco F3 and F2 both missed this morning

Observation  Sky Sports F1 on EETV guide had live Formula 3:Feature race scheduled in EPG  for  I believe 6:50am to 8:55am (Sunday 07 June.)

Another  TV listing site has  programme for that race  on a  Sky Sports F1  channel as starting at  6:40am. (although they did say the race itself was due to start at 6.55am)

For the Live Formula 2 Feature race for EETV  programme seems to be 8:30am to 9:50am

whereas other TV listing site has the programming starting  ten minutes earlier at 8:20am (race itself starting at 8:35am)

(the guide i used for comparison was

https://www.tvguide.co.uk/channel/sky-sports-f1?date=2026-06-07

So it does look like a 10 minute  change in scheduled broadcast times  occurred at some point.

Thanks @zulu17 - those changes were never communicated to us. I'll try to find out why.

Re: Starts of Monaco F3 and F2 both missed this morning

Just to add that I had the same happen to me.

The F3 race was recorded from 6-50am to 7-54am with the programme starting half way through the first lap.

The F2 race was recorded from 8-30am to 9-49am with the programme starting just as they were forming up on the grid from the formation lap.

Re: Starts of Monaco F3 and F2 both missed this morning

The investigation has been completed:

The times we had in our TV Guide were provided by Sky. Sky then changed the schedule without notifying us - they have a policy of not notifying any TV partners of changes.

Where announcements have been made suitably public (e.g. previous F1 events that were moved by hours), we've manually corrected the data. For this one, we weren't aware of the 10 minute change.

The only suggestion I can make is that you check the NOW app for catch-up, and/or complain directly to Sky.

They're never on NowTV unfortunately. Same goes for the IndyCar, of which I missed the end as it overran (having started at 2am Monday UK time, so I hope they'll forgive me for not staying up to watch it...)
