Re: That's TV Channel 56?

Yeah, but the Freeview channel That's TV Channel 56 is not available on my EETV guide only through Freeview I've been told.

Re: That's TV Channel 56?

I don't want all live TV through an aerial, that would be pointless as I'd miss out surely on subscription channels no?

Re: That's TV Channel 56?

First I would check to see if you have an aerial, outdoor or loft. Then connect the lead to your EETV box aerial input connection, then another lead from the EETV aerial out connection to the TV. That will allow you to view the Freeview channels on the TV without affecting the EETV box which can still be used in internet mode. Or you can just run the lead direct to the TV bypassing the EETV box. Of course all this depends on you having an aerial to begin with.😉

@Hunter2660

Yeah, I really don't know if there's any aerial attached to the wall socket in the first place.

Are the ends of those aerial cables the same at both ends male to male?

Re: That's TV Channel 56?

Problem is my aerial lead is male to female I've just noticed, so I will need to either get a converter or a new male to male aerial cable lead so I could have the connection from the wall directly to the male input on the TV.

"Yeah, I really don't know if there's any aerial attached to the wall socket in the first place."

Just go outside and look towards your roof - especially around any chimneys and at gable ends. If you have an aerial you'll be able to see it - an aluminium boom with spikes attached to it.
If there's no aerial visible, poke you head through your loft hatch and using a torch see if there's one there.
And, as Hunter2660 said, you CAN have aerial and WiFi reception on simultaneously. Connect the aerial lead direct to the TV and then use the TV's controls to switch back and forth between the aerial input and the HDMI input which the EE box connects to.
The advice that you can't do this was wrong, I'm afraid.

@chrisjp

Yeah, that's what was confusing me as I was positive it could be done that way, thanks for confirming that it could be performed.

Re: That's TV Channel 56?

Edit:

I noticed that the EETV app had lost it's pairing with my phone, after pairing it again the channel 56 was gone which tallies up with the guide via the TV.

----------------------------------------

Why is it that I don't see That's TV on my EETV guide yet it shows on my EETV app and when I look it up on the app as LIVE it says at the bottom to watch the programme tune in to channel 56 on your settop box?

It even gives a option to record it on the app.
