What has happened to BT/EE livechat?

Hi

 

Been trying to contact EE the last couple of days about a potential upgrade.

Only way i can see is a phonecall but I tried twice and says over a 40 minute wait.

 

Couple of questions.  

1) is there anyway other way to place an order?

2). I'm already on entertainment package with a few months left of contract.  Are they ever willing to do you a decent deal on things like the full package?

I assume that you’re talking about EETV packages. Once you enter the final 3 months of your contract you will probably find that you are no longer able to flex your package online and MyBT should contain your  renewal offers. We had a very good offer for the Full Works package when our contract went into the final 3 months.

You will almost certainly come under pressure to move to EE if you are still with BT. If you are not already aware from various other threads on here, the journey from BT to EE is potentially a very hazardous one at the moment and has been for quite some time. It would be a journey that you embarked upon at your peril!

You can't contact "BT or EE" - it's the same people at the end of the phone for both.
You'll mostly see tales of woe on the community boards, however that's because people who don't have issues don't post here. Most orders go through without a hitch.

That there are tales of woe is a fact of life 😢

But there are issues that are easily and quickly dealt with, and then there are the others - and it’s the others that would make me fight shy of moving, or being moved, to EE right now.

@Midnight_Voice EE haven’t quite perfected their back office side was how you once described it, I believe. Now if Mr Dev had been put in charge of organising that……..

Tried them again there. 45 minute wait.   Think I will just go elsewhere this time.   

Surely they will be losing customers with customer service like that?    

Always like the live chat option as it was quite quick

In my experience live chat could never resolve anything and always resulted in being asked to call CS.
