Thanks for the reply. I am not that technically minded unfortunately. I will look into getting a more current Humax/Manhatten box. BT have said they don't need me to return it but I will hang o to it for a bit longer in case they do charge me. After receiving several different answers about whether it needed to be returned, I don't trust them!
@kwaker5 When you say you tried reseting the box was this by using the maintenance mode screen that is accessible by the buttons on the box. I think there were/are 5 options available from the maintenance mode screen. WHich options did you try ? Did you try both the internet and non internet options ?
I used the buttons on the box but I wasn't able to access the Maintenance mode that was mentioned in the online instructions I found. It just kept cycling between these screens
