YouView Casting? BT Pro Box broadcasting Wifi SSID?

Wasn’t sure what title to put this down as!

I happened to be in my lounge earlier and went to share/cast a YouTube video on my iPhone via Chromecast on my home wifi, as I’d normally do.

I happened to have my (new to me) YouView BT Pro box plugged in, but outside my house - in my caravan, as was testing it there earlier (that’s where it’s for) and as well as the two Chromecasts I have it showed a wifi network for YouView?

Whats that all about? Can I stream YouTube from my iPhone to the YouView box?

If not why was the wifi appearing? (I have no neighbours btw)

It's not showing a Wifi SSID - that list isn't of Wifi networks. It's showing a list of devices present on your current network that claim to be running a compatible receiver. If you try to cast from the Netflix app, you'll see your YouView box appear in the list, as they run the Netflix app. You shouldn't be seeing it in the YouTube app though, as there's no YouTube support on it yet.

Just checked and YouView is shown on list of casting devices.

Shows as YouView 552 in the list from the YouTube app.

Hopefully YouTube will be available soon.
