scheduled recording(s) gone

Go to solution

All preexisting scheduled recordings have gone. Setting up a new one results in nothing happening when the red R button is pressed. Handset works fine.

The box tells me it is a Humax DTRT2100.

This page purportedly lists all supported boxes:

https://support.youview.com/youview-box/box-and-remote/using-maintenance-mode/

It only shows a '2000' model of a somewhat similar name.

Is this  just website laziness or are we supposed to 'just know' ?

Either way am blocked in trying to proceed/schedule recordings.

Yes box was powered off and left a while before restarting.

Box tells the software is uptodate when I asked it to do an update.

What now ?

Re: scheduled recording(s) gone

Hi  @steveoxfD

YOUVIEW withdrew from direct customer facing support and now direct all support to the box manufacturers ,

The 2000 was a Humax retail model. Youview still display support documentation for that model.

The DTR 2100 model was a box made by Humax for BT so Youview direct you to BT.

The relevant support pages for the BT models which describe how to do reset are at.

https://www.bt.com/help/tv/fix-a-problem/tv-boxes/how-do-i-reset-my-bt-tv-box-

Are you able to play your old recordings  ?

If so try a maintenance mode reset  keeping recordings first. Instructions appear if you select your box image on that webpage.

This may resolve your problem but it is more likely only a full reset deleting recordings will resolve.
Logic here is that a problem with you scheduling recordings may not be cleared by a maintenance mode reset that preserves recordings.

Many thanks !

Did the 'Keep Recordings' reset.

Your logic was correct, scheduled recordings still nbg.

Swnbo has to go through to see what will be lost that she would like to save/recreate after we invoke the nuclear reset.

Will post back when we cross that bridge

Crossed that bridge.

Function restored, tedious to re-establish the recordings but that is the nature of the beast.

Many thanks.
