Accessing my email on my iphone

Hi guys.  I have installed 'My BT' on my phone and thought I would be able to get to my BT email via that, but can't find it.     How do I do it??   I'm going on holiday and want to be able to keep in touch.    Thanks for your help

Re: Accessing my email on my iphone

Log onto your MyBT and click on "Package" scroll down to "BTMail" and sign in there or go to  "Broadband" and scroll down to "sign into email" which will bring you to the log on page where you enter your details.

You could cut out the above by just using a web browser and log on via this link

https://home.bt.com/login/loginform?TARGET=$SM$https%3A%2F%2Fsignin1.bt.com%2Fbtmail%2Fsecure%2Femai...

or you could set up an email app on your iPhone which would be even easier.

Re: Accessing my email on my iphone

It explains how on this site. Although it mentions IPad it should be the same for the IPhone.

Re: Accessing my email on my iphone

It is fairly straight forward if you take your time.

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201320

Guide to setting up email on iPhone.

Go to your iPhone home screen and tap Settings.

Scroll down to Passwords & Accounts>Accounts>Add Account.

Tap Add Account.

Scroll down and tap Other.

Tap Add Mail Account.

Put the name you want people to see when they get mail from you in the Name field.

Enter your username in the Address field. For example, firstname.lastname@btinternet.com

Enter your password in the Password field.

In the Description field enter the name you want to use to identify the account.

Tap Next. If you get an error message at this point, tap OK.

Make sure that IMAP is selected at the top of the screen.

In the Incoming Mail Server section, change the Host Name to mail.btinternet.com

Now enter 993 in the Server port and set SSL to on.

Then scroll down to the Outgoing Mail Server section and change the Host Name to mail.btinternet.com

Now enter 465 in the Server port and set SSL to on.

Make sure the correct username and password are entered.

Tap Save.

Your settings will now be verified and you'll then see your Account screen. If this doesn’t happen automatically tap your account to access your email.
