Adobe Attachments

I am receiving emails with .pdf attachments but they will not open or download. if I right click on them and the drop down menu offers "download" nothing happens. If I try to save them to my hard drive it opens a dialogue box but this only shows the following option;

file name:  webmail.html (not the actual file name)

save as type: wbpage,single file (*.mhtml) - drop down menu offers no alternative.

Thank you in anticipation someone knows how to resolve this issue.

You do not right click to open attachments.

If you want to preview the attachment you should click on icon of the PDF. If you want to download it you should click on  name of the attachment and it will downloaded into your devices download folder.

Are the emails from a known and trusted source? if not I wouldn't risk opening the attachments

Thanks for the reply. I have loaded Adobe on another lap top and it works as you describe. This is what I expected, but it doesn't work on the other la[p top. I think it must be a setting I have not set correctly. I am going to uninstall and reinstall adobe as take it from there.
