All emails suddenly disappeared from inbox!!

All my emails suddenly disappeared from my inbox around 8am today. Everything still showing in sent email folder but my inbox only showing emails received after 8am.  I did not change anything in my settings.   I have contacted BT by phone and online chat with no resolution thus far.  Reading various threads here I see others have had similar problems and have been helped by a moderator. Please can anyone/moderator help me.  The mails are absolutely critical to me and even include all my travel documents for a holiday we are due to go on next week.  Absolutely gutted so any help would be so much appreciated.

Hi @Wood1e Thanks for posting, I'm really sorry to see your emails are no longer in your inbox, I can appreciate the distress this must be causing. 

The helpdesk and moderators raise these issues to the same specialist email team, when you were speaking to the helpdesk did they advise you they were raising a case for you?

Have you recently connected any old devices that are linked to your email? If so I'd recommend checking they haven't been downloaded to it.  

I want to be honest, if the emails are no longer on the BT servers it's unlikely they can be recovered, but the email team should be able to check the logs to try and figure out what happened. I'd also recommend contacting the travel company you've booked with and ask them to resend the emails just in case.

I do appreciate your honesty but I have not connected to an old device. I tried my iPhone, iPad and then laptop and as I opened my emails, as soon as the device updated the emails they all disappeared which implies the problem is not with my devices or user error but a problem when updating with the BT server. How can that possibly happen. There must be an explanation and a way of recovering them???

Hi @Wood1e thanks for getting back to me, have you logged into www.bt.com/email to see if they are there?

We will raise a case with the email team to get this investigated but I'm unable to offer you assurances that they can be recovered.  I'll send you a private message in a moment so you can get in touch with the moderation team.

This has happened to me today.  Help?  Is there any solution they are not showing on the BT server so it is clearly BTs fault and they need to rectify it.
