Archiving emails prior to maybe moving to a different broadband provider

Go to solution

I have been with BT for over 22 years and as part of looking at other broadband providers wanted to know what my options were for continued access to my emails.

Were I to leave would I be able to archive and subsequently access my emails?

Would appreciate any advice the group can provide.

Thanks, Paresh

You can simply continue to use your btinternet email address if you so wish. Either as Basic Mail, which is free but only accessible via webmail, or Premium Mail which is £7.50/m but allows use of mail apps and clients.

If you wish to archive your mail, I suggest you download a free mail client and archive the mail on your PC.

When you leave BT your email account will be downgraded to the free BTMail Basic account. This can only be accessed using a web browser and can not be accessed using an email client or apps such as those used on a mobile device.

If you want to be able to access your email on a mobile device you would need to subscribe to a BT Premium email account for £7.50 per month.

I should add the only thing that is premium over what you have at the moment is the price!
