BT Emails

Go to solution

Email from BT to say: You'll no longer receive new emails:Update your settings today.

Meaning, change the ingoing and outgoing server details to mail.btinternet.com.

Is this actually from BT?? It seems to be on the bt.com website. But I have a main email address and 3 sub accounts. I am still receiving emails from 2 of them but not the other 2. So do I change the server on the 2 not receiving? On all of them? Do nothing? Advice, please.

Re: BT Emails

BT are contacting customers to up date their setting on email clients and app if they are using the Yahoo settings.

If you already use the correct setting you do not need to do any thing. If not, you need to change them on all your BT email accounts.

See link for correct settings.

Re: BT Emails

Thanks. I found out how to do it. All fixed. I am, however, confused that I have changed two accounts but left the other two and I am receiving emails for all four. I guess time will tell if I need to change those other two as well.
Thanks for your help.

Re: BT Emails

You can change all of your accounts, those settings always have been the correct settings regardless of which email system you are on. The Yahoo settings were never the official ones, just a back door.
