Every time I try to login to my BT Yahoo home page I get message saying Invalid ID or password but I am 100% sure these are entered correctly, any ideas?

I have already changed password as I thought that was the problem - ID and new password works OK with email clients but for some reason the full email and password (definitely correct) wont let me log in to BTyahoo homepage.

Hi John, Well if can login with a client , that sortss out the login details. I do know that webmail does have occasional login problems.
Is this a New account.
If so and you are still having pronblems in 24hrs, maybe get in touch with the mods and see if they can help you.

I would like to know what the solution was... just returned from a trip to switzerland and at several 'public' PCs in hotels, it was impossible to login to the web page for email retrieval (or even Yahoo for that matter) - same error messages as yours (invalid username or password).
A separate email account with another provider worked fine for logging in via a web browser

From a previous post I think you had to be in the Uk to use your BT login. The solution was to use like windows live mail or similar

Interesting comment about being in the UK. Earlier this year no problems in France ot Italy - I used the yahoo web site and login was fine.
Curious as to whether it may actually be if a 'hotel' or internet cafe PC may have cookies disabled which might cause this symptom?
I will investigate further about Windows Live Mail in case that may be a solution - tried searching these forums but could not find the mention about this issue.

I've definately logged in with the usual credentials from Italy and Portugal with no problem.
If there has been a change, perhaps its a feature of the 'improved' BT Yahoo Mail?

I have recently had the same problem webmail fails but email client works ok (only on one of my accounts)
I used the reset password facility to reset it to what it was i.e I did not want to have to change the email client.
Lo and behold both webmail and email client worked showing that username and password were correct that I was using for webmail.
It looks like Yahoo has got some sort of intermittent problem.
