I am a BT broadband customer with BT Yahoo email addresses and have an Apple ICloud email address as my main email with a BT email address as a back up. My partner has a secondary BT email address. When she sends or forwards an email to my ICloud email it never arrives in the Inbox not in the junk folder either.
I checked this by sending an email from my BT address to the ICloud one and that also never arrives. Both these are sent from an email client either Mail on an iPad or Thunderbird on a iMac both set up as IMAP. The odd thing is if I log into to any of the BT email accounts via webmail and send to my ICloud from them the email arrives. Using webmail on the iPad is not really a solution as the mail.yahoo.com webmail is awful to use.
Also I though sending from ICloud to BT and then replying would work but it doesn’t
What would be different in an email sent from the webmail to one sent via a client with IMAP.
The same thing happens if I use Wi-fi or 4g via a mobile.
I see other posts here about not being able to access BT mail using iPads or iPhones but this doesn’t seem to be the same problem. Are there settings or something I can check that might help resolve this.

This problem suddenly started for me a week ago. I have one regular recipient in the Netherlands who regularly uses an icloud address. Incoming messages to me at btinternet from this address are still being received, and until the last few days I have mailed him at his icloud address from my btinternet address with no trouble at all. But now at least 10 messages from me at btinternet have failed to reach him. These mails appear in my own sent box, but he never receives them - into either his inbox, his spam box or his junk box. 5 days after the sending of the first of these 'gone missing' mails, I have received a notification of non-delivery from Postmaster@BT, saying the recipient's server could not be reached.
As an experiment I mailed myself at my own icloud address (which I rarely use) both from that same address and from my btinternet address. The message from myself at icloud to myself at the same icloud address was duly received; the same message to myself at icloud from my btinternet address was never received. I sent another experimental message to myself at my icloud address from a different, non-bt, mail address, and that was duly received.
This phenomenon has been the same, whether I mail from my Macbook, my iPad or my iPhone and whether I use my own wifi router (BT Home Hub 5) or someone else's. It leads me to suspect that incoming messages from btinternet addresses only are for some obscure reason suddenly being blocked by Apple's icloud mail server. Has anyone else had the experience I describe? Can anyone offer a reason for it and suggest a solution?
Have you seen my post of yesterday 25 January headed 'icloud addresses not receiving incoming mail from BT addresses'? Exactly the same problem you have, but only just started, after a couple of years of using the icloud address of the Dutch recipient on all devices with no problem at all. Haven't tried the webmail interface of BT mail to test this, but agree with you that it is not an workable tool for everyday use.
Relieved to see that I am not the only one with this problem, but can't think of an easy way past it that will still allow me my messages to be received by iCloud addresses. A pain, when it has been perfectly OK till now. Is it Apple or BT at the bottom of this? Or both?
Not sure if this is any help but I have set up the iCloud and BT internet accounts on Mail on the iMac and I can send from the BT Internet email accounts and receive them in the iCloud account. These also show up in the iCloud inbox on the iPad. However if I try and send from one of the BT internet accounts on Thunderbird or even Outlook it is not received in the iCloud inbox.
It is pointless speaking with the helpdesk as once you mention email client they are not interested.
What would be ideal is to send a message and note the time sent and hopefully if this issue is passed to the moderators someone can trace the message to see if it passes through BT which might prove the fault is with Apple.
I did delete and add back the BT mail accounts on the iMac and the iPad. Bit if a nightmare adding it back to the iPad as it defaults to POP with no way to set it to IMAP. The only way I could do it was to add lots of 99999s to my email address so it couldn't verify the details, once the verify failed I had the option to select IMAP or POP and manually add the server details.
Thanks! I haven't tried exactly what you have, but I did try sending a mail to myself at iCloud from myself at iCloud via the Apple mail client on all my devices connected to the BT hub. And this worked - duly received into the inbox of Mail on all my devices. I could be wrong, but it seemed to me to suggest that the problem could be Apple, trying to freeze out another big shot like BT and make all their users stick to iCloud mail. In my case the solution is pretty easy, I suppose: warn my Dutch colleague that any incoming messages from me will not be processed by iCloud and that we should therefore avoid using it in all correspondence, in both directions. No other recipient of mine seems to use iCloud😊
Just one other consideration may be that I am not using the very latest Apple operating systems on my devices: I use Mojave (10.14.4) on my Macbook Air 2017, 12.4.1 on iPad Pro and 12.4.3 on iPhone 6. I just don't want the very latest at the moment. They offer nothing that I really need and seem still to have a fair number of problems.
Having exactly the same problem. Not sure when it started but only noticed yesterday
Seems more likely to be an Apple problem as I have just tried with mail from GMX and Gmail with the same problem of it not being received in @ me.com account.
Well I have tried sending an email to my iCloud email and cc’d to an .outlook.com email address. The outlook account received the email but iCloud didn’t. Does this prove the email has left BT and the problem is with Apple?
Doesn’t seem to make a difference if I use and iPad with iOS 13 or one with iOS 12 sending emails there just don’t arrive in iCloud.
I can’t use my iCloud email for this community as I never receive notifications and my posts have been replied to.
