BT email folders

Go to solution

Does anyone know what the figures are next to the folders in BT email? It's similar to unread messages in a folder.

You have answered your own question. It the number of the unopened emails in the folder.

Thank you for the swift reply. The only trouble is, these numbers against folders in saved email list have not got any unread emails any ideas please? Kind regards D R Connell

@davidrconnell  Have you actually gone into the folder, "Special stuff" to see whether there really are 2 unread messages?

Re: BT email folders

The numbers only show how many unread emails are in each folder.

If the folders you have shown with the numbers do not appear to have any unread emails you could open the folder then click on the box to the left of the first email and then either press on your keyboard  "shift" key and "PgDn" key repeatedly and it will mark all the other emails with a tick or use the "shift" key and the down arrow. This will mark all the boxes with a tick.

Now go to the "More" button in the menu bar and click on it then if it is showing "Mark as Read" it means there is an unread email in there.  If you want to mark it as read just click on "Mark as Read" and the number should disappear.

If it only shows "Mark as unread" it means that all the emails in the folder have been read.

You can do the same with your Trash folder or just empty the folder.
