BT email, new customer

Hi

 

Just signed my auntie up for BT normal broadband, went through the whole process and everything went fine. However afterwards I thought it hasn't asked to setup a email address!!

 

So how do we set up the primary email address! Just looked through the order confirmation emails and nothing is mentioned there.

You do not need to use/have a BT email address. If you want you can set her up with any of the other free email services that are available however if you want a BT email address you will need to set her BTID up first if you haven't already done that. This will allow you to access her MyBT where you can then set up BT email.

I certainly wouldn't set up a btinternet address. If she hasn't already got one, set up a Gmail or Outlook address and use that as her BTID.
