BT email system login frequency

Using the BT email app I have no problems with my ipad and iphone. But on my PC with no app I need to login several times each day which is very frustrating and did not happen before the recent BT login changes. Any ideas?

Re: BT email system login frequency

Mail clients (apps) work differently to webmail. They hold the users credentials and periodically log in to the mail account, collect mail and logout again automatically.

Webmail requires the user to manually login. the length of time this login is permitted to persist is governed by the mail server.

There have been huge threads on the forum regarding being logged out too quickly.

I suggest you use a mail client on your PC rather than webmail.

Windows 11 comes with the Outlook client already installed or there is the free  Thunderbird client.

Re: BT email system login frequency

Either use the built in Windows 11 client 'Outlook' or download one of the many free mail clients. Mozilla Thunderbird is the most popular.
