It would be helpful (to everybody) if "they" would be a bit more forthcoming with information, not least to their own Helplines. 

The people I spoke to yesterday were obviously as frustrated as the rest of us.  It's very unprofessional to leave the customer-facing people with nowhere to go but Sybil Fawlty mode ("I knooow...).  Very, very irritating...
