I have a @btconnect email address that uses the Office 365 portal.
I wanted to change my email display name from my name to company name.
I have succesfully done so in the 365 portal and any emails I send from the 365 email portal sends with the correct display name.
However I have a pc with outlook 2013 that uses smtp (smtp.office365.com) and any emails that are sent from this machine still show the old display name.
I have made sure thet my email settings in outlook 2013 have been updated with my new display name.
In testing it would seem that smtp.office365.com overrides outlooks settings with the old display name.
If anypone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

I will do but the email section on the BT Business Forum looks like it does not have much readership as the last questions was nearly 6 months ago and did not get any replies.
It maybe worth discussing it with Micrsoft (via their support forum) as it could be their product causing the issue.
