Hi,
I have read https://www.bt.com/help/email/bt-email-products and understand that if a customer leaves BT Broadband, their email address is converted to a Basic one.
Does the webmail portal offered with Basic allow you to automatically forward any new emails received to another email account (such as a Gmail one)?

No. It does not allow forwarding.
You can only send and receive by logging onto BTMail Basic using a web browser.
