Bereavement

Go to solution

Hi,

Father in law, a BT customer, just passed away. Mother in law wishes to take over the BT account which is in his name. Current BT email address reflects father in law's name.

Is there a way that mother in law can get her own new email address, while keeping any old and new incoming emails to the current email address?

Can this happen as part of transfer of the account to mother in law?

Regards,

If your mother in law takes over the broadband account to have it in her name, any email addresses that have been created in that broadband account will remain as part of that broadband account and as long as they are accessed at least once in a rolling 90 day period they will remain active.

She will be able to create a new email address provided the eleven email accounts that come as part of the broadband account have not all been used.

See link about email addresses and how to create one.
