I'm trying to block some spam emails.
I log into my account using a browser and mark the mail as spam using "mark as spam and block domain".
I also go to "Blocked Senders" and block the domain (eg: *@b.blah.com).
Despite this, spam mails from this domain still get delivered to my inbox.
I noticed that if I enter *@b.blah.com (ie, I want to block all mails from b.blah.com) the *@ part of the address is removed when it appears in my blocked senders list.
Am I doing something wrong?
Is there anything else I can do?
There are multiple threads on this topic, but virtually no responses from mods, and certainly no solutions. Nobody at BT seems to want to deal with this.
A difficult problem.
Keep marking up the messages as spam...the system will learn eventually. Might take a long time, though.
I use MS Outlook as a client, and Norton 360, where user can enter, either the sender's address, or the domain which the sender uses, or both. You can unblock, if required. I'm still waiting for the long term results.
Not sure if this is available in the BT free version of Norton.
