Can’t send emails

I am unable to send emails using my iPhone, desktop or by logging directly onto the BT website. This started when I tried to send emails to 7 distribution groups yesterday each containing less than 25 names for a parish newsletter. I have reset my password & still can’t send even an individual email. One of the error codes said too many messages. Please advise!

Re: Can’t send emails

Hi @Elizabeth7,

Welcome to the BT Community

Are you still having issues sending the individual e-mails? Is this happening across different connections as well, so trying to send it when on both your broadband connection and your phones data connection?

Re: Can’t send emails

My individual emails started to send, first from iPhone, then finally today my last two emails to distribution lists went from my desktop. Does the system refresh after 24 hours or so? Wondering whether might do better with fewer distribution lists each containing more names. This is a recurring problem I’ve started having monthly for some time now when trying to email a link to about 120 people using multiple distribution lists. This was the first time I became unable to send any emails. Thank you for your interest.

Re: Can’t send emails

Probably not a good idea to be sending so many emails from a personal ISP email address.

Have you considered Mail Chimp?

Or your Parish Council getting their own domain with a mail service.

Thanks. I haven't heard of Mail Chimp but will look into it. Much appreciated.

Re: Can’t send emails

You can get your own domain, website, 50 email addresses and access to a mail server to send as many mails as you like for £7.20/m from IONOS.
