OK for you lot. I can still only receive emails on my BT account using Thunderbird but all attempts to send mail using Thunderbird fail as apparently my password is incorrect (I've changed it perhaps 6 times now over the last couple of days with the same result every time). Except that if I log on to bt yahoo I can both receive and send emails using the same (apparently incorrect on Thunderbird) password. Just what is going on BT?
Could we please have some sort of definitive statement from one of the Mods?
Yes it is but thanks for replying Keith. BTW just tried to send an email using the Email tag at the top of this page and again all works well using my allegedly incorrect password!!
Thanks gg30340 - I think I've tried just about every configuration possible of secure/non-secure/POP/IMAP etc etc. Today if I try to send an email I get a request to re-enter my password (as always over the past few days) but when I do that then the email is sent (unlike over the past few days where nothing would persude the email to be sent). As I said in another thread here I think I'll just go away for a week or so and come back when it has all been sorted.
